A new chapter of Alocoholics Anonymous (AA) is starting at St. Andrew in November 2025.
Anyone with a desire to stop drinking, or wishing to learn more about alcoholism is welcome to attend, regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, income, or profession.
A.A. is a fellowship of people who come together to solve their drinking problem. It doesn't cost anything to attend A.A. meetings. There is no age or education requirements to participate. Membership is open to anyone who wants to so something about their drinking problem. A.A.'s primary purpose is to help alcoholics achieve sobriety.
Meeting attendees can just sit and listen and learn more about alcoholism recovery, or they can share about their own recovery experiences. It's completely up to each attendee. Meeting attendees are encouraged to introduce themselves in the meeting by first name only. Attendee anonymity and privacy will be respected outside of meetings. Please note: This is a non-smoking facility.
Additional Information
Serenity Prayer God grant me the serenity, to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
A message for those who may attend: The “A New Chapter” Group is an open meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous and all members of the community are welcome to attend. The single most important aspect of AA recovery, however, is the principle of one alcoholic relating to another.
Therefore, only alcoholics participate in our meetings, all others interested in learning more about alcoholism are welcome to attend, listen, and learn. We encourage you to engage a regular meeting attendee with questions after the meeting.
If your primary problem is other than alcoholism, we think it would also be helpful for you to contact an anonymous organization which more specifically deals with your addiction. In any case, we hope that what you learn here may be helpful to your recovery and/or understanding and believe that the Big Book and the Twelve & Twelve are excellent resources for anyone wishing to learn more about alcoholism.
Please remember and respect… that what you see here and what you hear here, when you leave here, let it stay here.
