Liturgical Ministries

We are launching a Health & Safety Ministry here at St. Andrew and we have been actively preparing for the launch of this vital ministry over the past few months. We’ve consulted with safety and security experts from the Diocese of Raleigh, completed training, and met with leaders from more established parish ministries to learn from their experiences. The Health & Safety Ministry’s purpose is to ensure the overall safety, health, and welfare of the parish community during all church-sponsored activities, events, and gatherings. This includes protecting and preserving the reputation, integrity, and sanctity of our church, its rites, services, community outreach capabilities, property, and facilities.
 
We are seeking anyone interested in this ministry who has a medical, health, and first responder background (police, fire, EMS, etc.) and might be interested in joining us.  At each Mass and parish event, we plan to have a minimum two-person response team, a Medical Responder, and a Safety Responder. We will also be launching a new Greeter ministry to be a presence in the courtyard and parking lot before and after Masses. Greeters will be a welcoming presence and assist folks in the outdoor areas of our parish campus.
