Families Encountering Christ is our in-person, family-based parish faith formation program. Families will meet eight times throughout the year to learn more about our Catholic faith, in addition to completing activities at home that build upon the in-person lessons. Meals will be served and all members of the family are welcome, so come connect with other families at St. Andrew!
Meeting dates and additional information can be found:
While we hope that families will participate in our Families Encountering Christ option, we recognize that it may not meet the needs of all. For this reason, we are also offering an at-home option for youth to complete with their families. All materials will be provided, and all activities are completed on your own schedule.
New This Year: Faith is a habit that we must learn to build over time. To help
our young people incorporate their faith in their lives on a regular basis, Home Program materials will now be turned in in smaller chunks to assist with time management.
The first half will be due January 1, 2027 and the second half will be due May 1, 2027. *Please Note: Year 2 Confirmation Candidates will have an earlier due date in April. More information will be sent directly to parents.
Middle School – Youth in Grades 6-8 will complete a lectionary-based curriculum using Gospel Weeklies. All materials will be provided.
High School – Youth in Grades 9-12 are also welcome to use Gospel Weeklies OR they may choose to complete activities that complement The Catholic Faith Handbook for Youth. All materials will be provided.

CONFIRMATION and Other Sacraments
Preparing to receive Confirmation takes two years and requires specific sacrament-related activities, as well as attendance in a Faith Formation program for both years: Parish Based Faith Formation, Catholic School, or Catholic Homeschool. Youth entering grades 9-11 may register for Confirmation if they have not yet been confirmed and have a sincere desire to receive this sacrament. An additional registration process is required, so please visit our Confirmation page for information on receiving this sacrament.
If you are in need of other Sacraments, go here for more information:
Catholic Campus Connections is a ministry devoted to remembering our college students and reminding them that they are still a part of our St. Andrew family, cared for and prayed for!
