2027 Candidate Information

YEAR TWO Components:
- Attend a Year 2 Candidate and Parent Orientation
Attend one: September 13 or September 27 at 12:00 p.m. (following 11 a.m. Mass)
Orientation Registration - Enroll in a Faith Formation program (Parish Faith Formation, Catholic School, or Catholic Home School)
Faith Formation Registration
- Continue to meet regularly with your sponsor
- Attend four Confirmation-specific preparation sessions to better understand the sacrament and rite
- Share in service opportunities, as our faith is a lived faith
- Write a letter to the pastor, as a candidate must “properly and reasonably request” Confirmation (Canon 885)
- Meet with our parish clergy
- Year 2 Confirmation Retreat
- Attend Confirmation Rehearsal with your sponsor or your proxy
- Attend Confirmation Mystagogy
- Turn in all necessary paperwork

April 1, 2027 - All Home Program and GRACE Events Due
April 18, 2027 - All FEC and GRACE Events Due
May 1, 2027 - Confirmation Rehearsal
May 2, 2027 - Confirmation Liturgy at 2:00 p.m.

Candidates will attend one session each month in October, November, January, and February. Sign ups to select your preferred dates will be emailed as dates approach.

Yes, candidates attend two Confirmation retreats, one each year of preparation. The retreats cannot be missed.

Bishop Luis will celebrate Confirmation here at St. Andrew on Sunday, May 2, 2027 at 2:00 p.m.
Please note that candidates will need to arrive earlier. Specifics will be emailed.
