Christus Vivit - Young Adult Ministry

A Recap – the First Nine Months 
Since its official launch in October 2025, the Young Adult Ministry (Christus Vivit) has experienced steady and meaningful growth. 

The ministry began with a FOCUS ministries retreat, which served as a strong foundation for building community and spiritual engagement among young adults in the parish.

Following the retreat, we established consistent monthly programming to foster both fellowship and faith formation. 
These include the following:

• “Mimosas After Mass,” which provides a welcoming and social environment for connection.
• Friday Night Adoration, offering a dedicated space for prayer and deeper spiritual reflection.

In addition to our recurring events, we have also hosted several larger gatherings that have drawn strong participation. 
These include the following:

• Our Valentine’s Soirée welcomed 85 attendees and provided a joyful, community-centered celebration. 
• We also organized a Catholic singles event that brought together over 60 young adults from across the Triangle area, expanding our reach beyond the parish and fostering broader connections within the Catholic young adult community.

Over the past several months, participation has increased significantly. 
We now have an active group chat consisting of 158 young adults, serving as a primary hub for communication, event coordination, and community-building.
In response to this growth, we have developed a structured leadership team to support the ministry’s sustainability and expansion. Our CORE team now includes designated Men’s and Women’s Leads, a Social Media Coordinator, and a Clean-Up Team, each playing a vital role in maintaining organization, outreach, and hospitality.

Overall, the ministry has transitioned from an initial launch phase into a growing, structured community with strong engagement and leadership. We are excited to continue building on this momentum and further deepen both the social and spiritual life of young adults in our parish.
