Diocesan guidelines require a two-year sacramental preparation period
You may register for Confirmation if you:
have a sincere desire to receive this sacrament;
have never been confirmed;
are a registered St. Andrew parishioner;
are in grades 9 – 11;
attend a Faith Formation program in 2025-2026 (Parish Faith Formation, Parish Home Study, or Catholic School);
plan to attend a Faith Formation program in the 2026-2027 school year (Parish Faith Formation, Parish Home Study, or Catholic School).

At the time of registration you must provide proof of Baptism. If you were baptized or received First Communion at St. Andrew, please note that on the registration form and a copy of the baptismal certificate will not be necessary. A copy of the baptismal certificate is required for all others.
Attendance in a Faith Formation program: Parish Faith Formation or Catholic School.
Candidate and Parent Confirmation Orientation.
Choosing and developing relationship with a sponsor. A sponsor “sees that the confirmed person acts as a true witness to Christ and faithfully fulfills the obligations connected with this sacrament” (Canon 892). Your sponsor must be a confirmed, practicing Catholic at least 16 years of age. If your sponsor is not a St. Andrew parishioner, an affidavit from his/her parish is required attesting to his/her eligibility to be a sponsor. You will receive materials at the Orientation to give to your sponsor and be asked to meet periodically with him/her. Your sponsor is not required to attend classes but is welcome.
