In addition to meeting Confirmation eligibility requirements, you must be prepared to fully give your heart and your time to all Confirmation preparation activities. Reception of Confirmation by the candidate "obliges them more firmly to be witnesses to Christ by work and deed and to spread and defend the faith" (Canon 879)
Be confirmed when you can fully commit both to the process and to the practice of our religion.
The candidate and a parent will be asked to sign a covenant affirming their understanding.
Diocesan guidelines require a two-year sacramental preparation period
You may register for Confirmation if you:
have a sincere desire to receive this sacrament;
have never been confirmed;
are a registered St. Andrew parishioner;
are in grades 9 – 11;
attend a Faith Formation program in 2026-2027 (Parish Faith Formation, Catholic School, or Catholic Home School);
plan to attend a Faith Formation program in the 2027-2028 school year (Parish Faith Formation, Catholic School, or Catholic Home School).
Provide proof of Baptism. If you were baptized at St. Andrew, please note that on the registration form. If you were not baptized at St. Andrew, an original baptismal certificate from the baptismal parish is required. Please contact the parish your child was baptized at and have a copy mailed to:

Share in service opportunities, as our faith is a lived faith
A sponsor "sees that the confirmed person acts as a true witness to Christ and faithfully fulfills the obligations connected with this sacrament" (Canon 892)
Your sponsor must be a confirmed practicing Catholic at least 16 years of age. If your sponsor is not a St. Andrew parishioner, an affidavit from their parish is required attesting to their eligibility to be a sponsor.
