2026 Friends of the Poor Walk

Each year, Conferences and Councils of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul host the Friends of the Poor® Walk, which raises funds and awareness for the Society’s work serving people living in poverty. Since 2008, the FOP Walk® has raised more than $27 million for those in need across the country.

This year our own St. Vincent de Paul Conference is doing a walk! All funds will remain locally.

Details:

• Walk begins at the Large Shelter closest to the Laura Duncan Entrance 
  (Entrance Address: 2200 Laura Duncan Road, Apex)
• The walk is $20 for each person over age 18. 
• Kids walk for free!
• The 1st 100 PAID registrants will receive a swag bag.
• The $20 registration fee enters you into a RAFFLE for a great prizes - a laptop, a grill, and a bike!
• Registration will remain open until 10:00 a.m.
• Water bottles will be available for all participants.
• The walk loop is 2.1 miles but folks can do as much or as little of it as they'd like.
• Can’t walk but want to be in the raffle? Register below. You don't need to be present to win!
